Our search (which included a few specifics such as requesting an au pair who could speak a foreign language), offered well over a thousand results to read through. Defining your search parameters will lessen the numbers but you’ll still have plenty of au pairs from all over the world who are looking for an opportunity to join you and your family.

All users are able to perform searches or to place an au pair profile. The search function allows you to define exactly what you’re looking for and to specify details such as a preferred age range, languages spoken, the length of the work available, how many children you have and more. Each au pair profile provides a detailed amount of information, much more so than some other au pair websites, including the level of languages spoken (beginner, basic, strong, fluent, for example), where the au pair wants to work, how many children they are willing to care for and how much experience they have caring for children. This means that you can more easily organise your account and keep track of your correspondence with other users.

AupairNet24 is a tad on the expensive side at $79 for one month’s premium membership. However, the 6 month package offers much better value for money. Given that an au pair is such a big investment of money and time, as well as being a vital asset to your family, it’s worth taking your time over selecting the right candidate, so you may decide that the 1 month package is too short for you anyway. Premium members are able to send and read unlimited messages, read applications, see who has been viewing their profile recently and gain an overview of the site’s partner agencies. The only real benefit is the ability to send and read messages, though this is of course vital. It might have been better value for money and more of an incentive to users to provide a few more benefits to upgrading, such as the ability to upload videos or to have your profile appear at the top of search results.

We’re nitpicking. AuPairNet24.com is a well constructed site with so many members that you’re bound to find what you’re looking for, be it a family to share your time with or an au pair who will play an important role in the upbringing of your child(ren).
